Green Connection has been helping Anchorage grow a little greener since 1977. Our small, local plant business has blossomed into a trusted one-stop shop for everything that makes our community more beautiful. From indoor living plants to colorful annuals, bright holiday displays to tidying up outside spaces, we do it all.

Over nearly five decades, our roots have stayed the same: we care deeply about people and plants. Our business is fueled by strong relationships, and a genuine desire to see the world become a better place through plants.

Anchorage locals for 50 years

We were founded in Alaska and have been here for 50 years. We know the seasons, the people, the challenges and the triumphs of living in our wonderful state. We pride ourselves on delivering quality, reliable service to all of our customers to help them reach their goals. Because it’s not just about plants: it’s about people, too. We are creative problem-solvers and bring our passion to every service and project.

Whether we are cleaning up exterior landscaping, bringing plants into a medical practice, or hosting community events in our greenhouse, our aim is to make Anchorage, Eagle River, Palmer, and Wasilla more beautiful. We also offer a variety of interior and exterior plant services to help commercial businesses do everything from build stunning living walls inside to doing grounds maintenance and making Anchorage sparkle for the holidays.

Meet our owner, Monica

I developed a love for plants at an early age, growing up landscaping in Colorado. I pursued this passion at Colorado State University, earning a degree in landscape horticulture and deepening my appreciation for the natural environment.

After moving to Alaska in 2004, I was inspired by Anchorage’s natural beauty and strong sense of community. I joined Green Connection as a seasonal flower technician and quickly committed to building a long-term career in Southcentral Alaska.

Advancing through the organization, I gained extensive industry experience and a deep appreciation for the impact our work has on clients and their spaces. I later earned my MBA from the University of Alaska Anchorage and purchased Green Connection in 2012. Today, I am proud to support career growth, strengthen community connections, and continue beautifying Anchorage—one plant at a time—while looking ahead to the next 50 years of Green Connection.
