Interior Plant Services FAQ
Will I be required to get a maintenance plan with your plant services if I buy the plants?
No, we don’t require our customers to use our maintenance services. However, we do encourage it, as our plant experts will be able to ensure that you get the best results from your investment.
How much does a typical commercial project cost?
The short answer is there is no typical cost for a project, because it depends on how many plants you want, what type of plants, and how ambitious and creative your design is. But if you reach out, we would be happy to learn more about your project and provide a quote.
What is your process for designing an installation for a business?
We start every project by getting to know our customers and their businesses. We want to know everything we can about your space and what you hope to accomplish with plants. Then, we come up with a design, which can be as simple as a few containers or as big as a living wall that takes up a whole room. We’ll present the ideas to you and talk you through our choices, and make adjustments depending on your preferences before we begin any installation.
Exterior Summer Services FAQ
We are interested in your landscaping services. How extensive are your services – can you add hardscaping elements? Gravel? Mulch?
We can completely transform any existing landscaping, and aren’t afraid to remove debris (including branches), weeds and dead plants. We are happy to talk over a variety of weed-proofing and ground cover options including gravel and mulch. But we do not install built elements like brick retaining walls.
What plants do you offer for exteriors, and will you plant trees?
We have an extensive selection of high-quality plants and can talk you through what would be best for your exterior space. As an Alaska-first company, we provide both annuals that will thrive in our summer months, as well as perennial and shrub options. And we do plant trees!
I don’t have any yard space at my business, can you still make our storefront look welcoming?
Yes, we offer a variety of options with standalone containers and hanging plants to transform any storefront or business entrance. We can absolutely customize a plan to fit your needs and make your business look beautiful.
Holiday and Winter Lights FAQ
When do you recommend contacting Green Connection about holiday or winter lights?
The rule of thumb is as early as possible! We are always ready to talk winter lights and holiday decorations, and contacting us well before fall also gives us time to schedule your installation before the snow rolls in.
When do you remove holiday installations and lights?
For holiday installations, we typically remove decor early in the new year. Our winter lights service installs before the weather hits and lasts through the whole season.
Do I need to provide any decorations or lights myself?
No, you do not need to provide anything –– our team is prepared to deck your halls with all the ornaments, wreathes, bows, garlands, trees and lights you could want.
We have our own decorations, can you put them up for us?
No. We only install our own holiday elements.
Plant Nursery and Events FAQ
Is there parking at your plant nursery, and do I have to pay for it?
We have free parking at our plant nursery.
I have no artistic or plant experience. Will I be able to participate in your workshops?
Yes! We offer many workshops that require absolutely no experience and are appropriate for all levels. Look at our event calendar or our Instagram page to find the details for each event, which will tell you what is beginner-friendly.
What is the best way to keep track of your events?
Our events calendar on our website will have all of our workshops and events, as well as a form to reserve your tickets if necessary. We also recommend following us on Instagram, as we announce all our workshops and events there, and post reminders so you don’t miss anything.
Is your plant nursery accessible?
Yes, our nursery is accessible.
